Nilson model

Nilson is a system of sofas designed by Studio Lievore Altherr to meet very different requirements, so as to comply with everybody’s sitting habits. Soft lines and minimal structure mingle, as befits the design that lasts.
The Nilson project, a system of sofas in three different sizes of day bed and pouf, was created to meet very different needs, so as to comply with everybody’s sitting habits.
The softness of its profile is assured by the large seat cushions made of non-deformable polyurethane foam, soft backs, and wide armrests padded with channeled down. The lightness is provided by a linear structure that separates the seat cushions from the aluminum die cast feet, which seem to get it to float suspended in the air.
Nilson is available in a high back or low back version. In the high version, the backrest/headrest with an “intuitive” design can be adjusted in different positions, offering an unsurpassed comfort. Nilson Low is dedicated to those who prefer an informal and contemporary seat. Both versions are available in three different sizes of sofas.
The collection also includes day beds and poufs. Both versions can be complemented with down-padded armrest-cushions just resting on the plywood and solid wood structure padded with polyurethane foam, which remind the wings of a butterfly for their harmonious shape.
